Tuesday, 17 March, 2026: Tuesday, 17 March, 2026: We ended the work days with another fun game of card bingo at Legacy RV Resort. We enjoy playing the game and conversing with the wide variety of campers during the games.

Wednesday, 18 March, 2026:With a full day of treats ahead, we set out for Brunswick. Our first stop was a much-needed car wash—pollen season has arrived in full force, and everything we own had taken on a yellow tint. Thankfully, we found a gem. The team at Classic Clean Express Car Wash did an outstanding job. From the friendly staff to the attention to detail, we drove away with a vehicle that looked brand new. Highly recommended.

Next up: lunch. We finally made it to Sista’s Kitchen, a spot we added to our must-visit list back in January. Advertised as soul food, it absolutely delivered. Tucked between a local laundromat and food mart, this unassuming place served up a buffet full of comfort classics—fried and baked chicken, pork chops, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, cornbread, and what we initially thought was a beautiful slice of beef. As it turns out… it may have been liver. Not quite what I expected, but part of the adventure for sure!

After lunch, it was time to embrace our inner kids with a visit to the Pinball Museum in Brunswick. What started as a basement project by a passionate couple has grown into a fantastic destination for all ages. We figured a midweek visit might mean smaller crowds—but we couldn’t have been more wrong. The place was packed with “kids” of every generation, all enjoying a nostalgic trip back to the arcade days. For us, it brought back memories of spending hours in mall arcades—simple fun at its best.

Continuing our “kid day,” we couldn’t skip dessert. Scoops Away Ice Cream & Candy was the perfect stop. We kept things simple this time, but the menu featured some creative options—ice cream nachos definitely caught our eye for a future visit. Great service and delicious Hershey’s ice cream made for a sweet ending to the day.

Thursday, March 19, 2026: After a productive morning of chores, we headed out for lunch at The Lunch Box in Darien, just around the corner from the campground. It’s a charming little spot, and we both opted for pressed sandwiches. Paired with pasta salad for Beth and chips for me, it was a simple but very satisfying meal.

The afternoon brought more of the usual chores—because if you don’t stay ahead of them, they tend to turn into something much bigger… or get replaced by an unexpected nap. Either way, we wrapped up the day back at Legacy RV Resort with another round of card bingo. This time we had our biggest group yet—20 players—which made for a lively and fun evening.
