After three full weeks in Lenoir, we were finally back on the road again! While we originally hoped to head out a bit sooner, life had other plans—birthdays, work commitments, and a round of cat sitting made sure we stayed put just a little longer.
Wednesday, 1 October 2025: Wednesday finally rolled around, and we hit the road… eventually. As usual, we planned to leave at a certain time, and as usual, we didn’t quite hit it. This time, it was the tow dolly tires that delayed us—those little air compressors really take their time getting up to pressure! An hour later, we were on our way.
The delay threw off our lunch schedule, and by the time we rolled into Elizabethton, we were starving. We considered The Black Olive (a favorite), but with birthday dinner plans ahead, we opted for something lighter—and honestly, Pal’s was what we really wanted anyway. You can’t go wrong with a burger and some Frenchie Fries!
Finally got the the site and set up. Now we were are ready to venture.

Wednesday evening was all about celebration—Happy Birthday to Beth! After a quick visit with her mom, we headed to Texas Roadhouse in Johnson City for dinner. No wait, great food, and that free appetizer made it extra sweet. We love a good coupon!

This stop at Moody Bluff was just a few days long before we began our loop around Virginia. Somehow, Beth got a little off track with the schedule this time—originally planning to host Wesley and his family on Sunday and a Limestone Ladies meet-up Monday… except we were leaving on Sunday. Whoops! Both events were happily rescheduled.
Thursday, 2 October 2025: Thursday took us to Greenville, TN, where we visited Broyles General Store and Garden Emporium. It’s a fun little stop, full of charm. Beth picked up some fall pumpkins for her mom, and we spent a relaxed afternoon visiting with her.

Friday, 3 October 2025: Friday was a work day. Nothing special, but we did have a good dinner at Raffaele’s in Kingsport.

Saturday, 4 October 2025: Saturday was a cultural treat. We headed to Abingdon for the Barter Theatre production of “Murder for Two”. Performed on the small stage, it was an incredible show—one of the two actors juggled 8–10 different characters and did it brilliantly. Before the show, we found a gem for lunch: Fiddler’s. Their buffet and salad bar hit the spot.

Sunday, 5 October 2025: Sunday, we packed again—ready to migrate and continue the adventure. Virginia, here we come!
